In February 2013, we got the keys to our space in an unassuming Redmond business park. It was half warehouse, half office cubicles. We had just signed a 5-year lease, and didn’t know whether we would outgrow the space in five years, or go out of business before the lease was even up.
The good news is, we made it — still in business five years later. The bad news is, real estate prices have grown faster than our brewery has. So at the end of this month, we’re closing up the taproom and moving out.
Come help us drain these tanks! Join us for our final blowout party on February 18th from 3pm to 8pm. Free pizza!
What happens next? You’ll still see us on tap at your favorite bars and restaurants for a while, as we sell through our final inventory. And we’re in discussions with potential buyers for the brewery, so you may see Hi-Fi pop up again somewhere else in the near future.
All of us here at Hi-Fi have had an absolute blast making beer for you. It’s been a lot of hard work, and as Billy Joel will tell you, “workin’ too hard can give you a heart attack (ack ack ack ack ack).” Happily, we can report zero heart attacks. Even more happily, we’ve made dozens of new friends along the way. Thank you all!
